In addition to Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 that were announced yesterday, Google announced Nexus Player, its own Android-powered micro console.
Co-designed by Asus, Google Player set-top box utilizes Android Lollipop to run Android games, stream TV shows and media on TV through HDMI. It can also be used to stream media from Android and iOS devices, Windows, Mac and Chromebook over Wi-Fi.
Nexus player comes with a voice-activated remote with media control buttons. Additionally, a dedicated Nexus Player gamepad will be sold separately for $39.99.
