If you're a beast of a classic RTS gamer, then you might be interested in one of Blizzard's upcoming invitational tournaments. The competition is looking for the best Warcraft III players around and will have them competing in free for alls, 4v4s and "other friendly competitions," according to PC Gamer.
"We love and continue to support our Warcraft III community, and we’re excited to see classic competitors like Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen, Park 'Lyn' Joon, and Kim 'ReMinD' Sung Sik try out all the new PTR changes for themselves—including balance adjustments to many heroes, widescreen support, and more – all playable now on the PTR," Blizzard said in a statement.
Although the invitational tournament will be a friendly one, with no major prizes on offer, some of the top classic RTS gamers will be in attendance, including plenty of Warcraft III pros. The full list of attendees, their chosen roles and armies includes:
• Neo [Observer] Germany
• Remo [Observer] Germany
• Happy [Undead] Russia
• Foggy [Night Elf] Ukraine
• HawK [Human] Russia
• Effect [Human] Sweden
• ReMinD [Night Elf] South Korea
• Lyn [Orc] China
• FoCuS [Orc] South Korea
• LawLiet [Night Elf] South Korea
• Grubby [Orc] Netherlands
• MaDFroG [Undead] Sweden
• Insomnia [Human] Bulgaria

Considering there are rumors of a potential Warcraft III remastering, this would be a pretty good way to promote it. The competition will take place on February 27/28.
