We already knew that GTA: IV is heading to PC sometime in November, and now thanks to the official Game For Windows website, we are able to pinpoint it to a specific date.
According to the Games For Windows listing, GTA: IV will hit PC on November 18, 2008.
Microsoft's website also included a list of PC exclusive content and features:
* New high resolution technology brings Liberty City to life with even more stunning graphical detail
* Expanded multiplayer will require even more strategy and skill to come out on top
* Match Filtering allows you to pick your favorite multiplayer options and then instantly find online matches that fit
* Record gameplay clips and edit them together with a variety of options using the Video Editor and upload via the Rockstar Social Club
* Optimized for PC controls and Xbox 360 controller
The Games For Windows listing says that the recommended system requirements will be announced soon, but a rumor has it that they were listed briefly and that they were:
OS: Windows XP SP2
Processor: Dual core processor (Intel Pentium D or better)
RAM: 2GB
Hard Drive: 18GB free hard disk space
Video Card: 512MB Direct3D 10 compatible video card or Direct3D 9 card compatible with Shader.
Drive: DVD-ROM dual-layer drive
We don't believe that those specs are authentic since they didn't mention Windows Vista as the recommended OS, it didn't specify the recommended CPU speed and shader support is part of DirectX 9, so "Direct3D 9 card compatible with Shader" doesn't make sense.
