The developers and distributors of The Guy Game have been sued for using footage of a topless 17 year old girl in the game. The girl's consent, if it was obtained, is irrelevant to the complaint since she was underage at the time.
The girl will, no doubt, ask for damages as the suit claims she has suffered embarassment and humiliation as a result of her contribution to the game. The law suit goes on to claim that the 17 year-old involved, is still a teenager and wishes to attend college, develop her career and be active in her community and church.
As a result of the suit, a judge has already granted a temporary restraining order which has stopped Sony, Microsoft and all other parties involved from selling any copies of the game, since they all contain the controversial footage.
Since the girl's identity is being kept secret it is not clear how large her part is in the game and exactly how she got to be involved in the project. Until further information regarding the way in which the footage was obtained is revealed, it will be hard to form any opinion on the matter.
