Valve's refusal to comment officially on anything Half-Life 2, continues but it seems that the New Year has brought some unofficial rumours out into the open. According to an email, apparently sent from Valve engineer Rick Ellis to HalfLife2.net, The SDK (H-L 2) will be released soon.
Although the comment is vague at best, it may act as a spark of hope to the many gamers eagerly awaitng the cursed sequel's release, considering that the release of an SDK either immediately preceeds or follows the release of a game. According to Mr. Ellis, there was a new legal hangup which has now been resolved. This last statement may be an indication that Havok, creators of the game's physics engine, may have sued Valve over the recent beta leak of H-L 2.
However nondescript this news may be considered, it is the only reason any H-L 2 fans have had to cheer in the past few months so our advice is grab it and make the most of it because Valve are not going to be doing much talking until the game hits store shelves hopefully before April 2004.
