Bethesda's recently announced Creation Club, its ill-advised second attempt at a paid for mods-system, has not gone down well with many fans of the company and its library of games. So much so in-fact, that one of the most popular mods for Fallout 4 right now is one that removes the advertisement for the service from the game.
It's called the "No more Creation Club News" mod. Created by InAComaDial999, it's the second most popular mod on the Nexus at the time of writing (thanks Kotaku). Over the past two weeks since its introduction, the mod has been downloaded thousands of times and shows no sign of slowing down.
It's a simple mod, but the difference it can make to some people's gaming experience is a popular one. It completely removes the current message, but goes further than that and takes out what the developer calls the "spam box" entirely, meaning that future advertising ideas that Bethesda may have are also shot in the foot with the introduction of this mod.
Compatibility wise it should work with any other mods, as long as they don't modify "MainMenu.swf." That does mean that it will be an easy mod for Bethesda to mess with in updates if it tweaks its own menu system, but that would be a classless move that would see the mod updated in turn to prevent that sort of action.
