The Nintendo Switch does have a touch screen, regardless of its lack of software support. In fact it has a multi-touch panel, which means you can do all sorts of fancy gestures and although we have yet to see much in the way of games that use the feature, those that to could have plenty to offer.
The first footage of the the Switch's touchscreen in action has been released by AllGamesBeta. It was given a look at the touchscreen by a developer from Skylanders: Imaginators and as you can hear from the beginning, this is a surprise to everyone involved, as Nintendo hasn't made much of a splash about this functionality.
You can choose characters, controller schemes, levels and more, all through the touchscreen. It seems fast and responsive, though there does appear to be a limited functionality to it, even in this case.
However what is clear is that the touchscreen is of a high quality, as is the Switch's panel itself. It will be interesting to see if other developers make more use of it than Activision does.
