If you're excited for the next instalment in the Assassin's Creed series, Origins, then you'll need to make sure your PC can handle it. Although Ubisoft has gone to great lengths to optimize the experience, so even those with mid-range PCs can run the game in a "recommended" state, that's not to say you can run it with a potato and expect it to look good.
Assassin's Creed: Origins is, much like previous entries in the series, a pretty game. You'll want to be able to crank its settings up as high as possible if playing on PC.
So what do you need to run it? Well, if you are just hoping to scrape by, you don't need much. Make sure you're running at least Windows 7 and have an Intel Core i5-2400s or AMD FX-6350 CPU in the heart of your machine. You're also going to want at least 6GB of memory. Graphics wise you're going to need a GTX 660, or AMD R9 270 - that on board Intel HD chip is not going to cut it.
Anything with at least 2GB of memory from the past few generations should do though.
If you're looking to play with most settings on "high", you'll need a slightly heftier system. Ubisoft recommends at least an Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX 8350 CPU along with 8GB of RAM. Graphics wise you'll need either a GTX 760 or AMD R9 280X with at least 3GB of VRAM.
That will take you up to 1080P, though those looking to run the game on ultra settings with 4K resolutions, you're going to need a lot more than the above.
What kind of PC will you be bringing to bear on the new Assassin's Creed game?
