Have you ever wanted to learn how to code, but thought it looked like too much hard work? Then how about at least learning the basic principles of it with Human Resource Manager, a new game from the team that brought you World of Goo and Little Inferno. It's about setting up simple commands to fulfil complex tasks, all while keeping your job in the Human Resources division and not getting replaced by an automaton.
Players are tasked with delivering certain outputs and they have to use a redirected set of inputs to achieve that goal, making this as much a puzzle game as it is an exercise in basic coding mechanics.
However this game isn't just for those that want to learn the basics of programming, it can also offer a challenge for those that are already proficient in a language or two. Each level comes complete with optimisation challenges, which test your ability to make the code as simple as possible, whilst still achieving the same end goal.
Think of it as a bit like Space Chem, but with little office workers instead of chemicals.
Human Resource Machine is up for pre-order on the official site for $8 and will be released some time this summer.
