Speaking with Japanese site, Touch-DS, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said that Wii won't be getting any price cuts through its lifetime and expressed his opinion that this should be the case with all consoles.
"This is my personal thinking, but when the model's price-tag drops over time, manufacturers are telling consumers it's better to wait, and I've always thought that was a mistake," Iwata explained.
He then went on to say that he doesn't want early adopters to feel that they took a loss for supporting the console during its early days in market.
Wii is entering its third year in market and Nintendo is still struggling to keep up with the demand.
