Xbox 360 fans and professionals have been wondering if its new motion sensing controller, Kinect, is able to detect seated players.
Microsoft has been ignoring that issue since E3, until now when a Microsoft spokesman confirmed that "Kinect can be used while sitting when an experience is developed with sitting in mind."
The spokesman listed Xbox 360 Dashboard navigation and ESPN, Zune and Video Kinect apps as examples of applications that are developed with sitting in mind. For the majority of applications though Microsoft believes that it is "natural for Kinect games to be designed to get you off the couch: dancing, running, dodging, bending and kicking."
