Silent Hills is gone for good, but film director Guillermo Del Toro and video game director Hideo Kojima still have plans for other projects.
In a recent interview, Del Toro expressed his desire to continue working with the man behind the Metal Gear Solid series. "I love working with Kojima-san," he said. "We are still in touch. We are still friends and working into doing something together, but that’s not going to be [Silent Hills]."
Silent Hills was meant to be the 9th installment in the Silent Hill series. The game was being developed by Kojima Productions studio under the supervision of Hideo Kojima and Del Toro before it was abruptly cancelled by Konami. No reason was given for the cancellation, but we know that Konami is severing ties with Kojima in a not-so-friendly manner.
