Users have come to know and accept that Nvidia GeForce Experience collects users, hardware and game data and sends it to Nvidia. But now there are several reports indicating that Nvidia has added data collection / spying to its display drivers as well.
Until now, nobody was able to deduce what data the display drivers are sending to Nvidia. It might be simple crash logs or a complete system fingerprint or anything in between. Unfortunately, the only party who knows what the encrypted transmission contains is Nvidia.
While experts have confirmed that the data logging and transmission are now tied to the display drivers themselves, we are getting conflicting reports on whether this behavior is enabled on systems which don't have GeForce Experience installed. In other words, it is quite possible that Nvidia just relocated the GeForce Experience telemetry code down to the display driver but enabled it only on system with GeForce Experience.
MajorGeeks posted a small guide on how to disable the data collection and transmission processes. If you don't use GeForce Experience, you should .
