As if ex-Riot Games developers making a new-style of MMO wasn't enough, League of Legends itself may have its very own MMO experience in the near future. This was confirmed by Riot VP of IP and Entertainment, Greg Street, who said when pressed about what he'd been working on, said "It's an MMO."
Open and shut case.
It is an MMO

Greg Street's involvement in the project is particularly interesting because he's previously worked at Blizzard on World of Warcraft expansions like Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, and Warlords of Draenor. He's since headed up many departments at Riot games, including Creative Development and acted as the Design Director.
Other roles he's held include a designer on various Age of Empires games, including the beloved Conquerors expansion, and its spiritual successor, Age of Mythology.
It's not yet clear what kind of experience Riot would be looking to create with an MMO, but considering the financial resources it has available and its history of subverting classic genre play to create a highly addictive and accessible experience, it could be something quite exciting.
What would you like to see from a League of Legends MMO?
