A group called H4LT has leaked the Xbox One Software Development Kit (SDK) to the internet, claiming that this will open the way for homebrew applications.
"We leaked it to the community because if something is shared then...progress is achieved faster than alone. The SDK will basically allow the community to reverse and open doors towards homebrew applications being present on the Xbox One," said a H4LT team member.
The SDK itself doesn't allow unauthorized code to run on Xbox One, but the team hopes that somebody would find an exploit.
The leaked Durango XDK (Xbox Development Kit) is available on Mega.com and through bittorrent.
