Riot Games' new CS:GO killer, Valorant, is currently in closed beta but it's still one of the most popular games in the world to play and watch. Millions of gamers have rushed to get their first look of the game, whether first hand or second through Twitch streams, but during a recent stream session, close to 1.6 million gamers watched Valorant streams on Twitch alone, as per PCGamesN.
This is an astounding achievement, considering the game isn't officially out yet and has a lot to prove. CS:GO has seen a massive resurgence as of late, but its viewer numbers were barely a blip at just 220,000. What on Earth is going on to draw so many people to Valorant?
Partially, it could be people who want to play but can't, as Riot has limited the number of players in the game while it works out some server issues.
