The short film, The Lord Inquisitor, that Crytek art director, Erasmus Brosdau has been working on for the past six years, has finally been completed. It's gone through many iterations over the years but every single one has had stupendous levels of detail, which is why the project has taken so long to to be finalised.
But now it basically is. This nine minute film introduces us to the world of Warhammer 40,000, the Space Marines and more importantly, the Inquisition, the religious policing arm of the Imperium.
Although he had to rope in a few friends to finish up the project, Brosdau's influence is obvious from the get go with this piece and will carry over into a longer project expected to release next year, which will act as a companion piece.
Although the voice acting in this isn't the best we've ever heard, the visuals are perhaps the best representation of Space Marines and Warhammer 40,000 ever put together, so it has its own special place in our grimdark hearts.
