If you thought you were a pro at Mario Kart, blitzing through the single player and online ranks with ease at blistering speeds powered by your 150CC kart engine, perhaps you fancy a new challenge? That's what Nintendo will be offering with its 200CC mode.
This will come as part of the update that was originally intended for May. It's now been brought forward to April, and will add new tracks, karts and characters, as well as new costumes for those using their amiibo with the game. However the 200CC race mode could be the most dramatic edition as like moving from 50CC to 100CC and 100CC to 150CC, it changes the game dramatically.
Suddenly you can't make it around each corner with a drift or letting go of the accelerator. Suddenly, you need to use something that very few Mario Kart racers ever go anywhere near: the brake.
Not only does it make cornering that bit more exciting, but as the trailer above shows, it makes certain tracks entirely different to race on, as jumps and glider sections have the potential to skip whole sections of the track if you're capable.
This update will be available for free on April 23, with the other content arriving at the same time, but with a small price tag.
