After tearing the system down, UBM TechInsight analysts have found that the total cost of Kinect's components is $56.
$17 of the total components cost go to PrimeSense reference system, while the rest goes to chips made by Marvell Technology Group Ltd., Texas Instruments Inc. and STMicroelectronics NV.
Retail price for Kinect is $150 and Microsoft estimates that it will sell 5 million units by Christmas.
