Microsoft released an official statement claiming that Toshiba's imminent HD-DVD production termination won't have "any material impact on the Xbox 360 platform or our position in the marketplace" and insisting that "it is games that sell consoles."
Responding to speculations about an imminent Xbox 360 Blu-Ray Drive, Microsoft stated that they would "wait until we hear from Toshiba before announcing any specific plans around the Xbox 360 HD DVD player."
