Microsoft is paying YouTube video makers to mention Xbox One and include gameplay footage of its games.
According to a of the legal agreement between Machinima and its partners, who generally produce gaming content for YouTube, the company is giving an additional $3 per thousand video views for videos that include at least 30 seconds of Xbox One footage with clear verbal mention of the console.
In addition to the aforementioned marketing plugs, the video should with "XB1M13" and it must not "say anything negative or disparaging about the Xbox One or any of its games." The video creator is also obliged to keep the deal a secret or he forfeits all his payment.
