Microsoft is set to release a new line of Xbox One wireless controllers, inspired by "military technology and performance patterns," apparently. The first in the range is called the Recon Tech Special Edition and it has a muted grey, brown color theme, with some new grips and unique button stylings.
The front of the controller has gold etched accenting and insignia in the centre, with rubberised grips to help keep hold of the controller during perspiring and exciting gameplay.
Other than that though, it doesn't really differ that much from your average controller. Really, this is just a reskin with a couple of extra grips for added support. Battery life lasts as long as any other wireless Xbox one controller, but this one will cost a little more.
When this controller goes on sale on April 25, it will set you back $70, rather than the $50 or so that usual Xbox One Wireless controllers go for. This is obviously much cheaper than the $145 you'd expect to spend on an Xbox One Elite wireless controller, but considering it just looks different, selling the Recon Tech Special may not be the easiest job in the world.
Would you shell out a few dollars extra for a controller that looked like this?
