Mirror's Edge Catalyst has been in development for years at this point, which is why it's a surprise that it seems such a sleeper release ahead of its June 7 debut. There have been a lot of big game releases lately so perhaps EA dropping the launch trailer is the beginning of the marketing machine being spun up for the parkour-centric title.
This time around Faith is more agile than her mid-00s predecessor and less violent too. Well, she drops the guns in favour of more punches and kicks, so at least she's moving in a more pacifist direction?
There's just as much high-flying action as the previous game, with a more open world feel, similarly beautiful environments with a minimalist neon art style and much more destructive environments, making the game feel more cinematic than ever.
At least that's how the trailer makes it seem. We'll have to wait for the final game release to find out more.
How do you feel Mirror's Edge Catalyst is shaping us? Do you think it will be a worthy sequel?
