Every character in the fighting game's history is now playable, create-a-fighter mode, user-created fatalities and more
Midway Games announced that Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, the final franchise installment on current generation systems featuring the most extensive cast of playable characters in the series to-date and an all-new create-a-fighter mode, is currently in development for the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox. Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is expected to ship Fall 2006.
With the most complete Mortal Kombat roster ever, including every character from the Mortal Kombat fighting universe, revolutionary Create-A-Fighter and Create-A-Fatality modes, plus a brand new Konquest mode, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon promises to highlight the features that have made the franchise so successful.
Midway also revealed Mortal Kombat: Unchained for the PSP. The new handheld version will feature multiple fatalities per character, multi-tiered interactive backgrounds, extensive game modes including head-to-head Wi-Fi capabilities, six new fighters, and a new endurance mode and is expected to ship Fall 2006.
