At Gamescom earlier this week, Mortal Kombat series co-creator Ed Boon revealed that the upcoming Mortal Kombat X will see the return of one of the series' signature finishing moves, other than the "Fatality."
"For those who are familiar with Mortal Kombat, we first had the Fatality and we added a Babality. We had the Friendship moves, Brutality moves and all of these crazy things over the years," he said. "We are going to be reinstating an 'Ality' from a previous game into Mortal Kombat X. And I can't wait to be able to talk about it but at the moment I can't."
The last Mortal Kombat was released in 2011. It featured "Fatalities," "Pit Fatalities" and "Babalities". "Friendship" finishes aside, that leaves "Brutalities" and "Animalities."
Ed Boon previously confirmed that he had intended to include Fatalities in 2011's Mortal Kombat but failed to do so due to time constraints.
Mortal Kombat X is scheduled for release in 2015 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PS4, and Windows PC.
