After porting their blockbuster F.E.A.R. to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Monolith and their publisher Vivendi decided to go their separate ways.
Facing the fact that Vivendi retained the rights to the F.E.A.R. name, Monolith who still hold the rights for the game itself are left with an unnamed sequel to one of the greatest shooters ever made.
In spirit of this unique and ironic situation, Monolith decided to launch Name You Fear contest. The competition asks F.E.A.R. fans to name its sequel and promises the top 3 winners an all paid trip to Monolith's offices in Kirkland , Washington where they will get to witness unpublished gameplay elements of the Sequel and a tour of Monolith's facilities. The top 3 winners will also have in-game characters modeled and named after them.
Monolith will accept submissions from until June 22nd. Submissions will then be narrowed down to 3 finalists and fans will vote for the best title from July 23rd to 27th.
