New "50 percent faster" Xbox One dashboard out now

The next dashboard update for the Xbox One system is now available worldwide, bringing with it a number of improvements including, we're told, a boost to transition speed between menus, of as much as 50 percent.

That's not all of course, as there is also said to be a much improved party system integrated in the update, as well as updates to the messaging system.

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the update is the addition of Xbox 360 support for over 100 games too, though that part of the patch won't work for another few hours according to VG247.

All of this does come at a price however, as this is no normal 250MB update, but a much more substantial 1.2GB. That won't be a problem for most in highly connected areas, but for Xbox fans that are out in the sticks, you may need to set aside a little more time for this update to apply itself.

If the update doesn't automatically download, you can enable it manually by going into:

Settings - System - Update

From there it will begin downloading and applying and you can appreciate all of its wonderful benefits in a short while.

Have any of you downloaded it already? What do you think of the update so far?
