Pac Man is one of the most iconic games of all time, rivalled perhaps only by the likes of Pong and the original Donkey Kong in terms of its name and image recognition. It's a relatively simple concept though that hasn't seen much innovation over the years and unlike some of its contemporaries at the time of its release, hasn't been remade much over the years.
That could be about to change though, as Bandai Namco has teased a new, multiplayer Pacman that features four players, though they aren't all Pac-men, but ghosts, as well as the little yellow faced character.
"They're back!" the tweet from the official Pac-Man account reads. "Stay tuned for a Pac-Man announcement coming soon." The trailer doesn't give us much more information than that, though it suggests that ghosts can earn extra score by 'beating' Pac-Man, presumably by eating him.
Our guess is that the new version of the classic game will have one player taking on the role of Pac-Man, while the three others control ghosts who must devour him. They can earn points in different ways too though, but the idea is to eat the little-fella and work together to do so, since that helps the ghosts win, but they'll be competing for score too.
What would you like to see in a new Pac-Man game?
