The next Assassin's Creed will be released before March 2011 and will have Assassin's Creed 2's Ezio as the hero once more, Ubisoft revealed.
The French publisher was quick to point out that this will be a full game, and not just a DLC.
Assassin's Creed series tells the story of modern day Desmond who has been abducted and connected to a machine called the Animus so that his captors would follow the story of his assassin ancestors and track some mysterious secret. The first title took place during the third crusade in the holy land and starred Altair; the second title in the series takes place during the Renaissance period of the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries in Italy and has nobleman Ezio Auditore da Firenze as its hero.
The next Assassin's Creed will be developed by the same studios as its predecessor and it will include "multiplayer component" for the first time in the series.
