In a TV interview with Fox News, Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime, admitted that it will be difficult for Wii sales to surpass last year's.
"The third year in a generation is typically the strongest and Nintendo is in its fourth with Wii," Reggie explained. "Last year was a record year for the Wii hardware business so it's going to be really tough for us to lap those numbers but we're having a great holiday season so far."
Another reason that Reggie didn't mention is the expected launch of Microsoft's Natal and Sony's Motion Control in 2010.
