Underlining the company's commitment to smartphone games, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata told investors that a Mario Kart producer will be in charge of the development of one or more of the company's upcoming mobile games.
Iwata didn't specify the producer's name, but speculations have it that he is referring to Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart 8 producer, Hideki Konno.
The Nintendo president also revealed the company's plan to release around five mobile games before the end of March 2017. Five games over two years is actually a small number for a company of Nintendo's size, which goes to show its commitment to those games quality.
