While PlayStation 3 suffers from lack of titles, a Taiwanese game developer has blamed the PS3 complexity for discouraging 2nd tier developers.
"The PS3 platform imposes a technological barrier for second-tier game developers because these developers, including those in Taiwan, do not have as sufficient financial and technological capabilities as leading international developers", said the unnamed Taiwanese developer.
Several developers have previously announced that development for Xbox 360 is much easier than for PS3. In addition, Microsoft XNA studio allows for console-PC cross-platform development.
Having a larger market share than PS3 and its ease of pc porting, make the Xbox 360 a more important source of profitability for smaller developers.
