When Nvidia debuted its RTX-series of graphics cards, it wasn't clear just how many different titles would support its new features like ray tracing and deep learning super sampling (DLSS) but the eventual list that was released wasn't exactly expansive. However, more games have now announced support for at least the latter of those, bringing the number of games that can take advantage of Nvidia's new anti-aliasing alternative technology to 25.
Nvidia's DLSS feature leverages the RTX series' Tensor cores to power AI that in turn super samples in-game visuals. Instead of duplicating and blurring in clever ways like anti-aliasing, it just predicts what a super high-resolution version of that texture or model would look like and renders that instead. Since there is dedicated hardware to power it, there's less performance overhead than previous anti-aliasing techniques and the end result is prettier too.
In games that support it at least, but that list is now growing steadily.
The new games which have been announced with DLSS support include:
- Darksiders III
- Delivers us the Moon: Fortuna
- Fear the Wolves
- Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
- Kinetik
- Outpost Zero
- Overkill's The Walking Dead
- SCUM
- Stormdivers
They join other titles like ARK: Survival Evolved, Fear the Wolves, Fractured Lands, Dauntless, Hitman 2, PUBG, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and We Happy Few, among others. The overall list of supporting games is 25 now, with a further 11 (some of the same titles) supporting Nvidia's ray tracing technology.
