With the Oculus Touch launching today around the world, Nvidia has released a new driver update to optimize a number of games and experiences for use with its graphics cards. The official designation for this release is 376.19 and it adds support for all of the 53 Touch game releases that have gone live today.
However this won't be quite the same sort of optimizations that we see for big, AAA games. Nvidia didn't go through each of the 53 games and make specific adjustments to its drivers just for them. What it did do however is make sure that Touch operates well on its hardware, which means there shouldn't be a single game where the controllers bug out because of a problem with your graphics card.
This means there's nothing in the way of updated SLI profiles, though there are some new 3D Vision profiles, which isn't too surprising considering the VR focus of this update.
You can download the new 376.19 drivers here. Or alternatively, you could use the Geforce Experience software.
To help celebrate the release of Oculus Touch and these new drivers, Nvidia is giving away a number of graphics cards. There will be a free GTX 1080 going out every day this week and anyone who downloads the Geforce Experience software and logs in before the end of the year will be in with a chance of winning one of many GTX 1070s that Nvidia will be dispatching in early 2017.
