It was around two years ago that I first tried Thumper at an Eurogamer Expo show in the UK. It was part of the Rezzed collection of unknown indie titles with a single display, keyboard and mouse, alongside a piece of paper that read "Thumper," on it. Immediately I was drawn in by the Lovecraftian art style, the pounding music... and I had no idea what I was doing.
I crashed and crashed and crashed and then suddenly I started to get it. I started to understand the rhythm of the game, the moves you had to make and immediately I was hooked. This is one of those games you zone in on and don't blink for minutes at a time.

And soon everyone will get a chance to play it. It's release date has finally been unveiled as October 13. It's going to be available on Steam and the PlayStation 4 through its PSVR headset.
Good luck doing well at it though, at least until you have some practice in. Thumper is intense, relentless and seemingly never ending. There must be somewhere that space beetle is going, but it doesn't look pleasant.
