Ouya, the first Android micro console, was once expected to be the next big thing but now it has been struggling to survive for the last several months. But it seems that matters are finally taking a turn for the better as the company may have secured $10 million in funding.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Chinese internet giant Alibaba has invested $10 million in Ouya as a preamble to integrating the Ouya Platform into Alibaba's soon-to-be-released line of set-top boxes.
Alibaba is one of the world's largest e-commerce gateways which connects Asian manufacturers to retailers around the world. Alibaba's software has been powering third part Chinese set-top boxes since 2013 but it didn't announce or release its own set-top box hardware yet.
Both Alibaba and Ouya refused to comment on the Wall Street Journal's report.
