PayDay designer's GTFO looks like Depth in space

GTFO is the newly announced game from the designer of Payday, Ulf Andersson. It draws on that very same series, Left 4 Dead, Depth and the Alien franchise to create something that looks to blend scares, action and bizarre alien threats into a cooperative shooter all about acquiring loot and getting the hell out of dodge before the creatures get you.

Debuted at the Game Awards 2017, GTFO is a four player experience about entering derelict facilities to acquire loot, while hoping not to disturb the dormant creatures around you. Some are humanoid, with creepily split faces, while others are much more alien in nature.

Regardless, they're all coming for you and once triggered, they don't stop, bashing through doors, walls and anything else that's in between you and them.

You'll have some serious firepower to take them on though, and they'll go down easy, but their sheer numbers, unpredictable attack patterns and relentless nature will make them anything but easy to deal with.

The scripted banter in the trailer isn't particularly welcome, but hey, perhaps that's just what the AI will sound like if you can't get three friends together to help you take on the threats in that warren of caverns and machinery.

The game is slated for a release at some point in 2018, with more details expected to be released in the coming months.
