Surprise! Surprise! A new research found out that only 13 % of console owners utilize their console's Video playback capabilities.
Sarcasm aside, the research conducted by The Diffusion Group revealed some interesting results. According to the research, only 30 % of console owner realize that their consoles are capable of DVD playback and "that demonstrates how poorly many consumers understand the capabilities of today's game consoles and a major barrier to persuading consumers to start using these platforms for non-gaming media consumption", according to The Diffusion Group.
On a lighter note, the study found that just over half of those that own consoles keep them in the living room, compared to just under a quarter in a second bedroom, and 21 percent in a den or game room.
