You may not be his biggest fan, but PewDiePie is a global sensation, with over 30 million Youtube subscribers and plenty of money rolling around - reports have him earning upwards of $4 million a year - but that does mean one thing: a lot of nonsense comments on his videos. In-fact, it's grown so ridiculous that really, he has no use for the comment sections any more so he's announced that they'll be disabled going forward.
Ultimately, he said that the comment sections are just filled with spam, trolls and people replying to those former groups. It's a waste of time him reading them and it's a waste of time people making them in the first place, so he's shutting them down for good.
"To me, it doesn't mean anything. Like, I don't care about it. I don't want to see it. I just don't care. I want to see what you bros say, or what's going on with you bros, but I don't see that because it gets blocked out by all these things," he said.
In the future, he's going to be using Twitter, Facebook and Reddit with hashtags and specific subreddit threads to discuss the videos, which viewers are still encouraged to comment on, but in a more constructive way.
