After visiting Rare's headquarters and trying out their next game, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer tweeted that "Rare building a uniquely Rare game, as it should be.
Got to play the new @RareLtd game today. Rare building a uniquely Rare game, as it should be. Great visit to the studio.

Rare was found in 1985. Since then, the studio developed iconic games such Donkey Kong Country, Banjo-Kazooie, GoldenEye 007, Star Fox Adventures, Kameo: Elements of Power and Killer Instinct. Recently however, the studio focused on Kinect games that never picked up thanks to Kinect's limitations.
Last August Phil Spencer said that "right now with Rare we're at a point where I don't want the Rare brand to mean Kinect Sports. The Rare brand can be more valuable to them, to us and to gamers than that."
