If you feel like playing the same rounds of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds over and over isn't having much of an effect on your ability, perhaps you need to take things more seriously. It's time to start training, and though that might mean you montaging through a bunch of training scenarios in your head, in reality, you need somewhere to train. That's where PUBG's new game mode comes in.
The upcoming Training Mode will give you access to a 2km x 2km map that will have a variety of features for testing out different aspects of the game. A race track will let you drive around different vehicles to get a feel for how they perform and operate, a parachute course will let you practice your drop accuracy and speed, and short and long range shooting ranges will give you a chance to test out different weapons to see how good a shot you are with them and how they react under intense fire.
There will also be a parkour area which will let you practice your vaulting and jumping skills, something that can be paramount when facing a 1v1 duel with the only other last man standing.
This "open, living map," as PUBG Madison lead Dave Curd wrote on Steam, will let players test out just about every skill they need to win their next chicken dinner.
It should also be a hell of a lot of fun. Spawn into the map with some friends and just mess around, rather than having to take each drop seriously. Think of it as a way to relax between games, whilst actually getting better at the game you're looking to play the most.
It's a win win for everyone. Training mode launches for all on all platforms in September.
