In2Games, the creators of Fusion, are planning to unveil a new motion-sensing peripherals for PS2 at the Leipzig Gaming Convention.
Still in development, the technology behind the new motion sensing controllers is called "Freedom". In2Games has recently attracted £7.6 million in venture capital funding for Freedom technology.
In2Games' 1st party games utilizing the new technology (new to Playstation) will carry the brand name "RealPlay". The first 6 games in the RealPlay lineup will be out by Christmas. Those games are Realplay Tennis, Realplay Pool, Realplay Golf, Realplay Racing, Realplay Bowling and Realplay Puzzlesphere and they will be available at retail in Europe for £29.99 each.
"The Realplay range of games is aimed squarely at those PS2 owners who want to play wireless motion-sensing games without needing to splash out on a new console", said Elliott Myers, CEO of In2Games. "Each peripheral is as accurate as any video gaming technology out there at the moment, but on an entirely new format. The games are fun, challenging and highly addictive, and the wireless peripherals offer the best way of controlling games on what will be this Christmas' most popular mainstream console."
