According to the Japanese industry newspaper, The Semiconductor Industry News, the CPU powering Sony's upcoming PlayStation Vita is manufactured by Samsung.
The unnamed chip is reported to be 45 nanometer, which is the same as the redesigned Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 Slim, the iPhone and the 3DS.
The MIPS-based CPU that powers the PSP is manufactured by Sony itself. Samsung is known for manufacturing the A4 and A5 ARM-based chips that power Apple's iPad, iPhone and Apple TV products.
