The PlayStation Vita has been launched officially today in Japan.
Reports about customer reception from various parts of Japan were mixed, with fans lining up in long queues at some locations and the handhelds collecting dust at others.
The PlayStation Vita sells for 24,900 yen in Japan ($320) for the WiFi only model and for 29,980 yen ($385) for the WiFi/3G model.
PlayStation Vita will launch in Europe and North America in February 2012. The US version will cost $249.99 for the WiFi version and $299.99 for the WiFi/3G model.
