The reason that Oculus VR launched a DK1 on Kickstarter and eventually released the DK2 to a number of others around the world, was to help get content ready for when the hardware was also. There's no point in releasing consumer grade virtual reality hardware if nobody has anything to play on it is there?
With that in mind, Sony's PlayStation VR platform is going to have a lot of games and experiences ready for when it launches next year: more than 50 in-fact. They're all confirmed too and cover the gamut from shooters and racing titles, to walking simulators and horror titles.
Some of them are already popular titles like ARK: Survival Evolved, Gran Turismo Sport, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes and War Thunder, though big name, unreleased titles like Tekken 7, Technolust, Gran Turismo Sport, Allison Road and The Deep are also coming in the early days of the console based VR hardware's debut.
Although competitor hardware in many senses, HTC, Valve and Oculus are likely to be pleased that such a line up of games and experiences will exist in the early days of the hardware, as helping the proliferation of VR is important in its first years as develops help the technology catch on as a medium that everyone can enjoy.
