Sony still didn't announce the price of its upcoming PlayStation VR, but it made it clear that we shouldn't be too optimistic.
"The unit will be priced as a new gaming platform he said, without giving numbers" Sony CEO Andrew House told Bloomberg before revealing that at least 10 titles will available for the virtual reality headset at launch.
House's comment puts PlayStation VR cost at around $400. Factoring in the cost of the PS4 itself, it would cost a little below $1,000 to enjoy virtual reality games on Sony's platform. For comparison, Oculus VR CEO Brendan Iribe estimated earlier that "if you have to go out and actually need to buy a new computer and you're going to buy the Rift... at most you should be in that $1,500 range."
