The accessory that augments your play with Pokemon Go, the small Bluetooth dongle that can alert you to when a Pokemon is near by and you should be slinging balls at it, is set to become available starting in July.
The idea with the dongle is that it lets you keep your phone in your pocket while walking around. If a Pokemon is near by or there is the opportunity to battle someone, the wrist-mounted device will light up, letting you know that you should pay attention to the digital world for a few minutes.
You will have to buy it separately though. While Pokemon Go will be a free game - with microtransactions for some elements of the game - the dongle will not be.
In-fact it will cost $35, which for something that seems to only add a little light up display to grab your attention seems a little pricey.
Would you pay that for a Pokemon Go accessory?
