Valve's Chet Falsizek revealed that user created content and mods for Portal 2 will be playable across all versions of the game.
Falsizek explained that the game-editing tools will remain PC exclusive since they depend programmatically on "a bunch of dependencies that require the Windows platform." He also explained that the precise delivery method for the user-created content would vary across the PC, Mac, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
"There's just a lot of value in engaging the community because they're smart, they're thinking of really cool things and we want to be able to have everyone share that," he said.
Earlier this week, Valve announced that PlayStation 3 players will be able to play Portal 2 multiplayer with PC gamers.
