Predator: Hunting Grounds, the asymmetric shooter/slasher that was previously slated as a PS4 exclusive, will now come to more platforms, starting with PCs in April 2020. The game features four players as humans (with guns) trying to survive an ambush by one of fiction's most capable hunters: the Predator.
What makes this game a little different, a little like Turtle Rock's Evolve, is that the Predator isn't some AI monster, but is controlled by another player. They play from a third-person perspective and have all of the Predator's dangerous weaponry, cloaking, and melee strength at their disposal. The humans have the numbers, but is that enough to stay alive?
Set in the jungle, just like the original Predator film, there's plenty of greenery to hide behind, and a bevy of different armor types, camouflage options, and weaponry to pick from if you're the predator. Humans will have an array of armaments for themselves, but it won't be anywhere near as impressive. You'll need some heavy sustained fire to take a predator down, and you'll want to team up to do it.
Predator: Hunting Grounds hits PC and PS4 on April 24, 2020.
