Scott Miller, 3D Realms' CEO, has updated his blog with an entry which confirms that there will be a Prey sequel.
In his blog, Mr. Miller mentions that Prey managed to sell over 1 million copies in its first two months, an impressive performance for a game that was available on two platforms, PC and X360. As for what we can expect from the new game, Mr. Miller only mentions it briefly but he does manage to add, There will be a sequel, and we think we have a interesting follow-up story to tell and some all-new innovations to bring new excitement to the table.
So the success of Prey will definitely lead to a sequel, let us hope that the tortured past of the original will serve as a lesson to 3D Realms in order to avoid pitfalls with the sequel.
